The Amiga Xpedio 7 MT tablet computer, retails for $199

Amiga has announced it’s selling new Android tablets for less than $200. Can you say, “Happy Mother’s Day?”

This is the perfect tablet for a soccer mom or student budget. You don’t have to be a geek to use  a tablet, either. They are easier to set up than laptops, and they are much more portable, easily fitting in your purse or briefcase. If you’ve been suffering from tablet envy on the plane, in the nail salon, at school, the doctor’s office, or in your own office – check these out.

These come with plenty of muscle, too. Each also provides access to the Market, which is home to over 100,000 Android applications. Even the entry-level model comes with

  • Google Search
  • Browser
  • Camcorder and camera
  • Email
    Video player
  • Audio player
  • Accessories like an alarm clock, calculator, file explorer, PDF reader, photo browser, weather forecast, icnet, and task manager
  • Global time
  • Google Maps
  • Market, so you can download free applications or buy more. If you’ve not seen the market, they have all sorts of great applications, including social networking tools, such as Facebook and Twitter applications.

I don’t have on of these – yet – but I think they’re worth a look. Add in the fundraising they’re doing for the American Cancer Society, and I think they’re  worth checking out
